About the role

• This is a full-time role on a 1 year fixed term contract
• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
• The base location for this role is Newcastle upon Tyne. Ideally you'll live within one hour travel of this location to work a minimum of 2 days per week in the office

What you'll do

• Analyse the current retail forecast operation (system and process) within the current forecast teams
• Liaise with the Category forecasting, Demand forecasting, Forecast analyst and Replenishment teams for events, new shops, product launches, seasonal campaigns and stock shortages
• Support the forecast team on day to day activities during the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, migration and also during holiday periods
• Understand the reporting process and help develop and enhance KPIs and alerts

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

• Are a highly numerate graduate with a strong analytical background, ideally a degree with an element of mathematics/statistics or computer programming
• Have experience working in SAP, ideally in SAP S/4HANA
• Have experience of data manipulation in Python
• Are a logical thinker with excellent problem solving skills and an analytical mindset, with  experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems and develop and implement workable solutions
• Have strong PC skills and an ability to interrogate large data sets using Excel and Python, with an ability to communicate and apply complex data in a simple, easily understood manner
• Are results focussed with strong planning and organisation skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously within challenging deadlines
• Can build good working relationships to work cross-functionally within Greggs
• Are a confident individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels whilst maintaining a strong customer focus
