We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Engineering team at Greggs as a Services and sustainability engineer, this role is based across the Greggs estate so will be remote based with UK travel, this travel will be fairly extensive as it will require visits to most if not all of our supply sites

About the role

  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
  • We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
  • This role is remote so you could be based anywhere in the UK

What you'll do

  • Manage decarbonisation strategies and energy efficiency plans for each Supply site in line with the Greggs pledge, details of the pledge can be found here Greggs Corporate | Making our planet safer
  • Responsibility for carbon/energy reporting and creating carbon roadmaps  
  • Work alongside individual Greggs supply sites to develop, create, cost and implement strategic plans in line with Greggs pledge
  • Carry out feasibility studies for strategic plans
  • Capex preparation and implementation
  • This is a National role and will involve travel to various sites across the UK

About you

You will fit right into this role if you:

  • Ideally you will have a utilities background with specific skills in: energy management, F gas and refrigeration expertise, energy monitoring and renewable energies, waste water treatment.
  • Degree level qualification with MIET or comparable level accreditations is preferable
  • Specification experience in energy management schemes
  • Strong food manufacturing background
  • Good IT and presentation skills, MS project proficient, MS office etc
  • Working CAD skills (preferable)
  • Effective communicator
  • Team player
  • Ability to embed with site teams and influence decision making
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strategic thinking
